A high school senior charged with modifying a version of the Internet worm that crippled computer networks worldwide said the government has exaggerated its case against him, and disputed media coverage that portrayed him as a computer-savvy loner.

and he wont have any representation at the court? sounds like guantanamo to me. whay his guy did isnt worth 10 years and 250.ooo dollars of fine.. which is what he'll get when he wont even have a lawyer precent at trilals. he isnt the guy that made the worm. |

theres just as much justice security here as in the guantanamo camp. why not appointing him an atturney that actually can make it to court? |

Oh common. Comparing this to Guantanamo is a lame arguement. I understand your point of no representation, and you are correct in that - but comparing the two just isn't on the same plane. Besides, if you want to get that technical - why don't you do some research to see about what one Guantanamo prisoner said about the camp compared to the prison camp he used to be locked up in Russia. Guantanamo is a 5 star resort compared to how most of the world treats their POW's. |

No, he's not the guy that made the worm, he's "just" the guy that made it more destructive. The original worm was an annoyance, his one wasn't. Serves him right whatever he gets. He should have considered his families financial situation before he did it with regards to the legal costs. As regards the "anyone could have done it" comment, maybe so, but, no-one else did, did they? |
