SuperPi Teams Battling To The Thousanth

With the help of five of Intel's new Core 2 Duos, ocXtreme's overclocking team briefly took over the number one spot in HWBot's SuperPi category. This was despite the lack of sheer numbers - only 44 results from ocXtreme compared to 341 from then number two XtremeSystems - and proves that records will surely fall across the board once Intel's new chip is widely available.

As of this writing ocXtreme has fallen into second position behind XtremeSystems but only by a .08 second margin with OverClocking-Masters and HellasOCTeam very close behind in third and fourth. HWBot's team rankings are calculated using the average of the ten quickest calculations from each team. Congratulations to giant-killer ocXtreme and to XtremeSystems and be sure to keep an eye on HWBot for the latest record-breaking runs from these outstanding teams.

A word about hwbot: Hwbot.org is a site dedicated to gathering benchmark related results, processing them and providing hardware statistics. We've got nearly 3000 users, more than 10.000 results submitted and 70 teams participating in the rankings. You can submit scores for any popular benchmark program, browse a complete catalogue of videocard and processor specifications (which include both technical data as the average performance based upon submitted results), browse user and team rankings, and much more. Our goal is not to write hardware articles, instead we want to be the number #1 source for benchmark and overclocking results while offering a complete database of hardware specs. We differ from other existing 'world record' databases in many points. We offer:
bot scanning, you can just keep posting your results on your own favorite forum like you are used too easy way to submit scores online, you don't have to mail/pm/post your results to some guy and waits till he feels like updating the list an easy and clear way to browse and search records support for teams & competition between teams not restricted to one benchmark application, built-in functionality to add new ones. competition between users, and not only for the top users competition on hardware level, you don't need to have a to compete. hardware statistics image hosting with current ranking embedded in picture system for reporting fake results ... History:
It all started as a schoolwork assignment. I wrote a simple bot, which could be configured to visit a forum, check benchmark threads, gather the posted results and post back a summary in the first post of the topic. Not only did these fora not have to update ranking by hand anymore, the bot calculated their team average so they can be compared to other teams, making the system an excellent way to compete between hardware communities. In the past month 3 dedicated hardware enthusiasts have joined our team, in order to provide a better service to the hardware community and speed up development. The future is looking bright, as we have currently multiple teams joining every week, and are negotiating with software companies to add an 'upload to hwbot' function in their benchmark application.
