Starforce Driver for Windows Vista

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 06/01/2006 03:59 PM [ Print | 6 comment(s) ] · 18308 views

StarForce team informed us they have released a special driver update for Microsoft Beta Testers who want to play StarForce protected games under Microsoft Windows Vista Beta.

Word is: "The update has been tested by StarForce and Microsoft testers to work with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and other games. StarForce drivers will be signed as soon as Microsoft launches the drivers' digital signature program for Windows Vista."

"Beta Testers who want to play StarForce protected games under Microsoft Windows Vista Beta"

This is funny, right now nobody wants to play any game that incorporates StarForce. Why do you think Ubi is dropping starForce from all of its future games?

Funniest thing I've read in a while. I wouldn't give those SF mofo's the right time of day let alone test out SF for them.

Rot in hell SF.

I really do hope that all these driver-level copy protections will be replaced by something more sane in Vista, but I doubt that will happen. I don't want to let any program interfere with any non-user-level areas in my Vista system except "real" drivers for real hardware.

Starforce are punks, they know if a cracker wants to crack their protection he can, but meanwhile they compromise paying indirect customers who probably are none the wiser.

I'm guessing the Russian mafia hates SF, too
