S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost Sneak-Peak

Xbitlabs have thrown up a new article called Yet Another DirectX 9 Game: Lost Oblivion in Chernobyl were the guys at Xbitlabs Benchmark the leaked version of Stalkers with graphics cards from ATi , Nvidia and Volari! Here's a snip.

While hardware makers do not usually give on sneak-peak on their future products, software developers often provide such opportunity to some selected media just in an attempt to heat up the interest and show what they are ready to offer. Moreover, for some unknown reasons, pre-release versions of three games that were among the highly-anticipated titles by our readers were leaked by ?unknown hackers?. The games are: Doom III, Half-Life 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost. Were those leaks intentional or just a very negative concatenation of circumstances for game developers? That is something we will hardly ever know.

According to rumours we have heard so far, the Half-Life 2 will go live either in February 2004 or April 2004. Doom III is also slated to come on the 1st of April 2004 and now you can even pre-order it at BestBuy. But what about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost? The boys still have loads of competitions on their web-site among artists and still add new weapons to their gallery. An essential thing is that the GSC Game-World team have not specified any dates for their highly-anticipated game. This is a bit sad, as quite a lot of people want to find themselves in the virtual world made by GSC and they never know when they are able to finally play their desired title?
