Space Shuttle Crashed ?

Posted by: [NT] on: 02/01/2003 04:01 PM [ Print | 8 comment(s) ] · 2487 views

Just atm Bink informed me that the Space Shuttle Columbia has maybe crashed on way to earth.Houston has lost the contact to the shuttle.

I do not have anymore information, keep yourself updated by watching CNN or visit the CNN Website.

God bless the astronauts Update: It´s for shure that the shuttle has been broken in a high of 60 km while it was on the way to landing point in Cape Caneveral.
The NASA has warned that any debris found in the area (Texas, US) should be avoided and could be hazardous.

Not unbelievable, but fucked up.

Coming in for a landing to find that your shuttle falls apart/explodes.

For their sake, they better hope it exploded and didn't just fall apart......60km is pretty fuckin' high up in the air, heh.

This is what happens when stupid government cuts budget for science and research and all is going into stupidities like war and military. This wouldn't happen if NASA had enough money to properly maintain thei space shuttle fleet or even make a new reusable vheicle.

You speak as if things like this could easily be prevented.

Things like this will ALWAYS happen. I don't care if you give NASA 900 trillion dollars a day.

Out of 113 (ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN) missions, only 2 (TWO) missions have resulted in astronauts dying.. This is the ONLY mission in which a craft was destroyed on descent. I think that's a pretty good track record.
