Some Downloads Removed!

I was notified by Hilbert Haagedorn of Guru3D stating the following: I noticed you have several tools on-line of which Guru3D.com has an exclusive distribution right outside Russia. I want to urge you to take them down right away. Detonator Destroyer NVIDIA BIOS editor RivaTuner You seem to run a respectable site, so I really don't want to get all legal here, I know you'll do the right thing and act accordingly. This just sort of explains why we cannot offer them to you as a local download. Sorry folks.

There's no law for exclusive online distribution, and you cannot possibly sue someone for distributing a freeware program on the internet. Guru3D is getting a head waaaaaay too big for them to handle. Guess it's the only way they can feel important, by threatening to sue over something they can't sue over. They should ask the advice of a lawyer before they make themselves look utterly ignorant.

Actually, there ARE lays for exclusive online distribution, nobody follows them, but there are laws regarding that issue. Anyways, give the guy some credit, he didnt break out a bunch of lawyer speak, he just asked politely for them to take it down. Like it hurts you so bad to click a link and go to their site to download it?

I wouldnt worry about that shit. And I can say I wont be going back to their site now that I see what kind of true ignorance lies there. There are too many places to get NVidia leaked drivers so screw them.... lewsers!

Step 1: Ignore
Step 2: Put the files back for local download
Step 3: Ban the IP address that email came from, problem solved

anyone can host a shareware/freeware program on their site, tell Guru3D to f*ck off... don't yield to blatant scare tactics...

Excuse me people, but the people who programmed the files are with that site. Several places that give things out for free ask that you dont distribute it elsewhere, includeing on cd's. Dont be bitchy about stuff you dont understand.
