Shockvoice Alpha 0.6.0 released

Shockvoice is a modern and free Voice-Over-IP Communication Software. It's written in C# and runs on almost any platform of interest, be it windows, unix, macintosh or solaris. Currently there is a Client for Windows. Although there are Server-Versions for Windows, Linux and Debian.

The Key-Features are:

- low latency
- it's completely administratable from the client
- flexible permissions management
- Whiteboard makes it possible to draw onto a map and have it synchronized with other people in the channel
- support for Sqlite/MySql/PostgreSQL/MSSQL database systems and ODBC

this software rocks!
the only thing that really really needy to be done is a delay before stopping transmission
its a continuous flow of on and offs
or you have to send permanently

I guess this is mainly because it is managed code ...
.NET programs do eat a lot more ram BUT the memory management is not stupid ... as soon as something else wants all the ram it can get, managed code will reduce its memory usage significantly

Crappy software. The server prog crashes everytime i try to start it. The client does nothing when loaded up. What do we hav to do with it?

you do not need anything from the server folder ... when the service is started its up and running ... you just need your client to connect to the server
on you PC it would be "localhost"
from outside :8040 (don't forget to open 8040 in firewall)
