ONLY 64%? I'd dare to say that over 90%. These idiots come with such new crap, it doesn't matter anymore if you are ' in the know' of things. No matter how safe are my browsing tactics, everytime I scan the machine (2-3 times per week), I always find something. |

64% my ass. I work for an ISP helpdesk and I bet my bottom dollar that at least, if not more than 90% of home user PCs are infected or at least have present some form of spyware/adware/malware. The problem with most spyware is that they usually dont interfere with the system and total n00bs dont check spyware - 90% of users say "why hasnt my antivirus picked this up" when they are infected with spyware... morons. 64%.... yeah, right. |

I got a few spywares when I was still using those programs like e-donkey or kazaa. and those spyware stuff only came with the installation programs. with ie, I had about 50 tracking cookies per week. but now since I use firefox and dont download any crap like codec packs, kazaa, "free" screensavers etc etc, I never had a spyware entry in my registry again. and thanks to spyblaster and firefox only a few minor tracking cookies. |

Probably 100% if they included cookies (They don't seem to have?) |

You can just correlate the figure of the web browser market with this. 94% IE = 100% infected 6% Mozilla/Firefox = 0% infected So, in conclusion 94% are infected. |

IE here....0% viruses and 0% infection and 0.5% errors/crashes whats your point? |

You're just one person. You don't speak for the market. You do not disprove my point. Idiot. Even as virus-concious as I was when I used IE, I still received a virus through Outlook and IE. I can't make the same mistakes on Mozilla. I could link you right now to a few IE security holes just so you can change your percentage points. You can't do the same with Mozilla. |

Well you need one moron to name another. Worthless idiot. If you had 2 cents worth of brain you would see that Im not talking about the stupid pop up and people clicking yes on it, nor installing whatever "free" toll you might download from the net, or porn site...whatever. Companies like Gator put stuff on ads that even by juest accesing a website you get it....sometimes websites find out because some of their visitors report some odd behaviour. There have been programs that has/had it because of the installing package they use. You can get it from anywhere, anytime and anyhow and the only good weapons against that are some goo-updated tools, regular scanning and some common sense, which btw you are lacking quite a bit. |

Your point is retarted, and your stats are clearly wrong. Virii come mostly from downloads, neither browser scans downloads automatically. Spyware on the other hand, can come through activex/security holes, so IE would be more susceptable to that. But chances are, the mozilla user is more experienced than the average user, and would have anti virus/anti spyware programs already installed. If you want to get people to use mozilla, dont call IE users stupid. Just point out the facts, dont make some bullshit stats up. |

yes if you consider "data miner" cookies spyware. Everyone has them.. well maybe there are some people that disable cookies for some reason. |
