Rumours On New Audigy / SB Live! Drivers!

Back from 3DSoundSurge. Rumour is that there is a new driver revision. Someone in the forum of 3DSS spoils the day saying he has a 300 MB ISO of beta drivers...
According to WSX from the forums the leaked drivers won't work with the existing software pieces (Surround Mixer, Audio HQ etc...). That's very unfortunate! Here are some interesting words of his. Quote: There are not the file of emu10k2.sys in the new driver.The file has been renamed to ctaud2k.sys,build is 5.12.01.0136-0.75.1450.The date is 2001-12-12.my playcenter's version is build 3.01.15,audioHQ is 1.10.21. it don't include vxd driver.it's said that creative will not release vxd driver in the future. However the new ripped & zipped drivers are available for download. According to WSX your card will work properly simply without all Creative gadgets. It seems these drivers are ME/2K/XP only. Warp2Search does not recommend tampering with these drivers at the moment. Maybe more reliable information will surface soon.

hmm i'm guessing that installing these will stop my remote control working on my Audigy Platinum eX? |

I bet %90 of people don't even use all that extra software with audigy..most other apps do the same thing, better. Good thing creative does not require you to have the other apps installed to upgrade driver.
