OCIA.net takes a look at the Razer Copperhead Gaming Mouse in their latest review.
At this point, I was already pretty impressed with the Copperhead, but the real shock came when I switched back to my old Logitech mouse. One word: WOW. Never before had I realized that my mouse was sooo freaking slow! The pointer was practically crawling across the screen; I wanted to reach in and drag it myself.

Obviously a review by someone who was just so happy to have gotten a free mouse!! Head over to razer.tigga.org and see the stupid ammount of people havings tons of problems with this mouse!!! Want a good 2000dpi mouse ? Do yourself a favor and get a Logitech G5 (doesnt track well on all surfaces? the Copperhead doesn't either!!) |

No it is not, they both use a laser made from the same company. The 1000Mhz polling rate created by razer drivers are a joke and so is it's "firmware" circus! I bought both the copperhead and G5.. copperhead is not to be used again. oh I do graphic design and I am also a "night" gamer. |

Glad to know there is things called "opinions". |

Truem but "better" as far from an useful opinion to potencial buyers. I highlighted real problems with this mouse and offered a sound alternative, which in its turn makes for a better "opinion" since it is based on facts and not merely a personal preference. |

Fair enough. Now I'll offer more facts. The Software/Drivers for the Razer is far superior to the Setpoint software from Logitech. I, myself, have had far less problems with Razer's software than Logitechs. At least I can email Razer's support and expect a response. The G5 is a great mouse, don't get me wrong, but you will find different people catering to different needs. The Razer is more aesthetically pleasing to look at, has more configurable buttons. Different profiles you can set and save so you have the option to transfer this mouse to different machines without the need to re-install the drivers. The G5 IMO is more comfortable in my hand and is more affordable. These are a few things I have personally experienced with these mice. I guess it would all come down to which type of person you are and your expectations in a product. |
