Despite reports to the contrary, Microsoft has confirmed to BetaNews that it has made no changes to its Windows Genuine Advantage program to lock out users with invalid or pirated keys.
"We need to be very clear, Microsoft has no plans to lock users out of their PCs, nor does it have the technical capacity to do so," David Lazar, Director of Genuine Windows at Microsoft, told BetaNews.

Well duh. Microsoft knows, but wont publically admit it for obvious reasons, that it relies on people using cracked versions to keeps its product number 1. Microsoft make their money from Windows from corporations, not the single end user. Imagine if Microsoft made a fullproof way where it could not be cracked and people had to actually buy a multi hundred dollar product. HA! A small percentage would fork the cost, the rest would move on to another OS out of sheer protest. |

While I "kind of" agree with what you say, you give too little credit to the hacker scene.....uncrackable, NAH! |
