ARGHHH!!!

Flat Out Demo keeps crashing with a BSOD with this driver!!! it must be a bug in the game, because i tested almost every release after 61.77 (the only ones that work) and i keep getting a BSOD...

i hope SOMEONE fixes this problem.

The overlay FullscreenVideoplayback in 1280x1024 ist totally buggy with this v66.93 Driver on a
MSI Geforce6800GT v5.40.02.15.01 OriginalBIOS in PowerDVD5.0 and PowerDVD6.0TrialVersion.

When you switch to Fullscreen you become doubled Image weird.

in FW66.81 the Playback is ok.

If you had seen the amount of corruption in the Far Cry loading screen before the map loads at 1600x1200x32 or greater resolutions with antialiasing enabled before... you would not mock this driver.

So, nV finally solves a long standing problem for one of their top selling TWIMTBP games and suddenly everyone is praising the driver?

What about Flat Out users ranting about nV cards and reboots?
Another TWIMTBP game that doesn't work as MTB (at least for them).

It looks like drivers from nVidia aren't THAT much better than ATis ;)

well, i want to point out some things.

flatout & flatout demo have the same problem. yes, both of them, the hang with a Blue Screen of Death if they are not 61.77 drivers. i guess there is a bug in the game because it seems a joke now...

the fixes list only represents the fixes included between the latest driver 66.93 and 66.89, not 66.93 and 61.77

Please, check something for me!
(I got a FX5200)

Start the Flat Out demo and chose the third game ("flying pilot").
Make a successful thow and make the pilot stick to the net.
Now wait for about 5-10 minutes and tell me if you get a BSOD. My machine reboots.

Thanks, but no thanks Nvidia. Would have liked something newer then 70.41. I've been running these for weeks.

These seem towork fine on my fx5900, no issues so far, Counterstrike Source seems to run smoother, gained about 4-5fps around the water in Aztec.

There is really a bug in 66.93 regardin overlay playback on 1280x1024 and refresh rate more than 60Hz on my LCD monitor. At 60Hz everything fine. At 75 i am getting something like huge interlkace or effects for 3D glasses.
Workaround is not to use refresh more than 60Hz on flat panel monitors (DVI) and not to use fixed aspect ratio scaling which somehow switching refresh rate on my monitor to 75Hz and I can't change it from windows or nvidia panel. (windows show 60Hz refresh, monitor shows 75Hz)

These bugs MUST BE resolved ASAP!

Thanks.

Elwin.
