What about the GART driver that was included with the 5.10 drivers for nForce2 motherboards? Is this driver not needed anymore? By the way, should I uninstall my old nForce2 drivers or simply install these over the old ones?

These have been out there for over a week. I've installed them on my nforce 2 board without issue. Along with the 77.62 Forceware and the latest gart is needed and they are at 4.40.

I have a remix version with all the latest and greatest I created. Anyone have a place to upload to I will... All install with the official installer.

it's best to do things in realtime. as opposed to being lazy/scared and installing over the old instead of delete first, then installing new.

un-install the current drivers and then install new ones.

installing any software over another is not good, almost always legacy crap left over and registry keys and files left all over the place (why can't ANY version of Windows or any software for it uninstall EVERYTHING?)

There's a good prog that cleans out everything and makes your PC fresh again..DRIVERCLEANER PRO from DriverHeaven.net use it instead of windows' control panel un-install wizard and benefit from a cleansed system!

I can "install" all the drivers on my nf2 board as well but once I reboot only the ide driver is really installed...if I try to manually install the network driver it doesn't work...for those of you that have gotten it to work for all drivers, have you actually checked device manager?

I would recommend not uninstalling fully , but use the uninstall menu to custom uninstall drivers with newer version , otherwise you gonna end up without
GART

Yes, everything installs on my system. The sound and utilities, memory controller, smb, network. Everything.

I'll upload to rapidshare when I get off work around 4PM EST. Today and post back with link.

It's my remix with all the latest and greatest as one package for Nforce 2 and Nvidia Video and SATA.

hey cellar_dweller nice remix!
i forgot about GART, what's it for again ?? i'm sure i cleaned it out using drivercleaner pro, and since it's not in the 7.13 drivers i assume it' s not on my system. yet i'm running fine ??

and could you describe how i can make my own remix's so i can share them with others like you do? :)

also the links for you remix aren't clickable(at least on this latest firefox nightly :) they highlight but not clickable......and the website foey point to says my i.p. is already used the service too much today ...extreme downloads..blah..blah..blah blah .

can you provide another link for your remix ?

thanks and nice work sharing dude!

Sorry about the links - you can just copy and paste them into your browser. I messed up when I submitted and put in Plain text instead of html which makes them blink but not an actual hyperlink.

There really isn't anything into making them. I had all the latest and greatest and with nvidia the installer will see all of the items if you place into the proper folders with proper names.

The folder structure you see will be seen by the installer, for the video you have to call the folder Display and it's found and seen by the installer as an example.

As someone already mentioned the GART is for the AGP bus. Memory Controller is another that is not included in the more recent ones.

You probably won't see any newer version of drivers for the nforce2 - only if Nvidia releases a unified driver release but most probably won't be newer than what I've posted just included all into one installer for nforce2-4 + AMD and Intel.

Newer drivers are usually only needed if a bug existed or a performance fix was produced etc. If none of these come along then there is no need for a driver update. Once bug and error free then they WHQL and then there is no need to produce newer.

I have a nf2 board like you and I can't even manually install it...it says it can't find the hardware necessary for the driver...
