Official Forceware 81.84

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 10/04/2005 11:59 PM [ Print | 7 comment(s) ] · 5899 views

Here's a new set of Forceware Drivers in the shape of 81.84 for Windows 2000/XP and Windows XP 64bits!

Forceware 81.84 x32/x64

Use NVTweak to unleashes hidden function within ForceWare drivers, it enables several new Direct3d and OpenGL configuration tabs, and even more tweaking capability from the nVidia taskbar settings panel like the Overclocking , AGP settings and the Refresh Rate Override tabs.

Please leave your performance results in the comments and tell us all how they work.

From Nvidia themselves...cool.
I wonder how they'll work.
I'm sure we'll get 500 posts on Guru 3d telling us how they don't fix something in Battlefield 2, but I wonder how they work with everything else...

I'm almost sure it's beta (nZone) and not official. Even the WHQL is missing :P but who cares anyway.

FINALLY !!!!
they have finally done it and removed the stupid setup to setup style ... you now start it and get directly to the driver installation instead of just extracting the files to a stupid folder

this driver rocks !
although it does not work completely it good to see this feature to come ...
I can now adjust my monitor with the driver !!!
without any extra tool or clicking through the OSD menu I can adjust brigtnes contrast and color temperature

great ... I have 3 of at least 14 pages enabled
lets wait for further versions
nVidia is now clearly going to bash ATi

It does run things faster with my Dual-core. HOWEVER, 3DMark 03 and 05 both crash during the CPU tests cycles =

rig ~
Windows XP 64-bit
AMD 4600+ (dual-core)
Geforce7800 GTX
2GB (2x1GB) OCZ 2-2-2-5 pc3200
2x raptors in RAID 0

So far so good for me. Things in FEAR seem a little smoother, and the previous 8x.xx driver crawling in GTA:SA seems to have gone away, too.

It's not "Official" until it's posted on Nvidia's site. The ftp has both beta drivers and older drivers.
