Here's a new set of Forceware Drivers in the shape of 78.01 WHQL Certified for Windows 2000/XP and for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition! Dated: September 2, 2005
ForceWare 78.01 adds support for GeForce 6500 only. There are no additional driver updates in 78.01 since 77.77. SLI support for GeForce 6600 and GeForce 6600 LE New SLI rendering mode (SLI Antialiasing) for increased antialiasing performance Broader SLI optimizations and validation for the latest games Resolved SLI Antialiasing issues with some applications and generating screen shots. For a full list of other issues resolved, please view the driver release notes. Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0c and OpenGL® 2.0 support

Use NVTweak to unleashes hidden function within ForceWare drivers, it enables several new Direct3d and OpenGL configuration tabs, and even more tweaking capability from the nVidia taskbar settings panel like the Overclocking , AGP settings and the Refresh Rate Override tabs.

Didn't these come out last week? Either way, looks like the 78.03's are the one to get anyway. I've never had any shimmering, but I guess it's common for some games. |

A leaked beta version of the 78.01 drivers came out last week. This is the release version. It may be different, if only a little, from the beta version. |

The 78.01 is definitely NOT whql certified for the GF4 Ti 4200. |

This driver is dated newer then ANY of the prior drivers out there like the 78.03's and the 78.11's Which makes you wonder how Nvidia is doing their product numbering O.o |

indeed technically there no difference at all but they are not 100% the same |

Maybe it is WHQL thats why they are newer. I guess beta 78.01 is older than 78.03 or 78.11 |
