NVRefreshTool is a utility used to fix the problem in Windows 2000/XP that sets your refresh rate to 60Hz when you play ANY game.
Version 2.1a has finally been released, after many long hardships. Hard drive failure being one of them. This is primarily a bug fix with release, read more for the change log and download.
Click on read more for additional information.
TV-Out Resolution Dialog fixed. Should now work properly for users running in 'dualview' mode with televisions or other devices not capable of the same refresh rates as the computer monitor. Fixed problem that allowed users to add 2 of the same resolution. Minor Code tweaks. Now allows 'Extras' Menu to work without requiring the Advanced button clicked first. Help File Additions. Updated to latest installer code, My InnoSetup Extensions 3.0.6.1. Updated to accomodate program changes. Reworked a whole lot of the installer code. Apparently I had some wrong settings resulting in installer issues. The installer should now function properly with Add/Remove Programs and it should no longer create duplicate entries. Please remove any previous version of NVRefreshTool before installing this version. Does not create blank registry value in run as it had previously done before. This resulted in an NVRT entry in MSConfig with nothing there. Windows 2003 Server Support Added. Download it now, here.

Still no forum posts about the issue on our forum. Before you make such comments, please remember that unless we are told, we don't know what users want. Custom Resolutions? I'll note that down as a feature that's wanted for the next version. Provided Nvidia makes no major changes to the way the refresh rate is stored, we will in fact add new features that our users have asked for.....but don't you agree it's good to get the bugs worked out first? Not saying there's not more, because there are(Direct3D Test issues, specifically) but we'll work on that as well..... Not all programs are perfect, people. |

Alright then, no problem, if you seriously don't want to use *this* version, you're welcome to use 2.1, which has all of the bugs that we mentioned are FIXED. Please remember that we are only a 2 man team. In fact, we have real lives. We have little money....and we both are at that age where financially we must make choices. We have propositioned to the users to donate us money, as when we mean that we *can* use it, we in fact do really need it! We aren't writing on .net because *we don't own it*. It's not written in C because we don't know it. It's written on VB6, and if you have a problem with that, then you're welcome to make your comments. If you would like to see it further(and yes, we do have plans for something else.....but I can't give that away just yet), then you are welcome to help support us. Unlike Microsoft or Redhat or Mandrake, we don't have financial investors to support us......we are not a company, not a business, and the only payment we get out of it are the friends we make in the industry. As of right now, everything related to the program is out of our own expenses. We have limited resources...... |

it's not a crime to expect a program to not be full of bugs or not have a feature they want |
