NVIDIAs Desperate Stand

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 11/22/2005 08:13 PM [ Print | 6 comment(s) ] · 5010 views

After all the good reviews NVIDIA got for their brand-new 7800 GTX 512 MB, ATI had to come up with ideas how to respond to this. Instead of building better products which are available at launch date, their marketing guys sat down and put together the following presentation.

While some points in here do give food for thought, I think none of them are really serious and many could be thrown back at ATI.

As additional further introduction I would like to give you this picture without any further comment:

I do not see any points in that presentation which could give food for thought.

Any person with the slighest clue about graphiccards will reject 95% of the points made by ATI without any hesitation.

It's a real bad made-up PR marketing presentation, much worse than most nvidia PR slides.

It's a lot cheaper making up some propaganda slides than trying to get a better product out the door. If ATI released a big badass (and expensive) X1800 with embedded dram (if it made it any faster), they'd be better off.

I use both brands of graphics cards but think that this is the biggest POS I have ever seen a company come up with.

HAha, your kidding right? Only obvious. Sorta like the way Amd market their processors against Intel. But now Amd dont need to talk trash because they are on top.
