In a sudden yet to be expected move Nvidia Corp. today re-entered the Futuremark Beta Program which the company had left in 2002. The beta program allows enlisted members to provide input on upcoming benchmarks and collaborate on analysis software and services by Futuremark. Since we reported extensively on the whole Futuremark/Nvidia I'll just let this announcement stand on it's own:
Futuremark Corporation, the leading provider of PC performance analysis software and services, today announced that NVIDIA Corporation has re-joined its worldwide benchmark development program. Futuremark?s flagship product, 3DMark®03, sets the standard for easily and objectively measuring and comparing PCs? 3D graphics performance and is part of Futuremark?s suite of benchmark solutions originally launched in 1998.
Tero Sarkkinen, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Futuremark Corporation, said: "We are very excited about NVIDIA joining the program. Their membership further validates our benchmark development model and adds value to the whole program."

AJ quit in disgust over nVidia being allowed to rejoin the program. You decide what-the-what is. |

I've been 3dmark free for over a year (prolly close to 2 years) Instead of endlessly looping benchmarks, I just play my games. Its very liberating Just say no to 3dmark (and any other benchmarks unless you have legitimate performance concerns) |

he probably posted something already on Hardocp, but his keyword search and delete script for his forums probably picked it for having ATI, NVIDIA, and 3dmark in the same message body |
