| While the original GeForce GTX 260 configuration had two Thread Processing Clusters and one ROP partition disabled to give that SKU 192 Stream Processors and 28 ROPs, this has since been overhauled into what is widely known as the GeForce GTX 260 Core 216, which has only a single cluster of Stream Processors disabled to give it 216 in total (which also gives this core 72 texture filtering units, while holding the same number of ROPs.
Both GeForce GTX 260 configurations feature the same reference clock speeds, made up of a 576MHz core with shaders clocked at 1242MHz, while the 896MB of GDDR3 memory on-board (using a reduced 448-bit memory bus) is set to 999MHz. |
