Did nvidia goof? Says Feb 7 2006 on the site page, but we already had 81.98 for months! (?) |

That's exactly what I was wondering. I've has the 81.98 drivers since December. And I downloaded them from nVidia's driver web page. |

For curiousity I've re-downloaded 81.98, and found that to be different from the earlier release. The filesizes are different, and the digital timestamp is different, too. One is 2nd Feb 2006, and the other on 15th Dec 2005. My guess is that the two 81.98 are identical, but the Feb one has included support for newer cards, and was resent for WHQL certification. |

Otherwise known as a silent update. Hardly worth uping the version number for a INF mod. |

They have a 82.92 beta driver on nZone that supports the newer 6800GS AGP, I wonder if this newer 81.98 supports the 6800GS AGP as well? |
