Hello people,
I was going to bed until I saw... "Beta Detonator 27.70 Appeared!"
So I tested the drivers. I have used my post of the last comparison because nothing on my computer has changed so the score will be the same. I tested the following drivers against each other: 27.42 / 27.50 / 27.51 / 27.70. The testing program I used was 3DMark2001 SE under Windows XP. The PC they were tested on was a:
AMD Athlon 1333 (Non-Overclocked) "Real Clock 1336.35"
EPoX 8KHA+ (KT266A chipset)
256 MB RAM PC2100
VisionTek GeForce 3 (Overclocked at 235/540)
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
DirectX 8.1
These are the settings I used:
All the settings were default except
Vsync = Off
Monitor = 75Hz

So the 27.51 wins the battle!
But I'm going to keep the 27.70 drivers because I had some problems with the Direct3D Games with 27.51. And the 27.70 are the latest drivers... (so far leaked)! I have tested the drivers twice and I picked the highest score! I had some problems with 27.50. WindowsXP didn't boot correctly the first time and I saw strange lines on my screen (very weird).
I have no problems so far concluded with 27.70. I'm gonna test some Direct3D games soon... and then I'll put the results right in this post. ( every computer is different, so maybe on other computers the results are different ) TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Regards,
