Nvidia Detonator 44.71 - Windows 2000/XP

Just spotted this bit of news at Guru3D.

Two to three weeks ago Detonator drivers 44.71 leaked onto the web. The big downside from that release was that it only supported certain models of GeForce FX cards.

Through an official source we now have Detonator 44.71 for all graphics cards available. So this is not a hack, it's the real thing.

The complete WHQL multi language installation package for 44.71's wit support for all cards has been available on the Gainward Driver download page since the 23/07/03 when they were released.
Theay have also been on the nVidia FTP site under Quadro drivers as well (exactly the same package.

Can someone explain to me why we are seeing a rehash news piece on a driver that is dated Jun 23rd? 44.71's have been available for the longest time. What the guy said above? These are offered on Gainwards site.

Hehe, "So this is not a hack"... Is it really a hack to add support of other cards? All you are doing is adding a string in the .inf file.

Besides.. Why on earth would I want to download another 8Mb of language files and a .inf for a driver that is dated on June 23rd?
