Nvidia inadvertently - we hope - yesterday told its customers they will have to wait until 6PM Pacific Time on 30 December for a crucial Windows Vista driver update for its GeForce line of GPUs. Reg Hardware readers looking for the software last night were presented with the following screen...

I think it's a little ironic. Considering their current history with Vista drivers I'd say it's worth a chuckle. |

nVidia is going insane. But this news comes just on time for me. Tommorow i gonna buy an ATI equivalent Graphics Card, instead of the GF 8800 GTX witch I was planned to buy. This Companie sign their own Doom with this. |

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or if you're really that PO'd. If you still use XP, the 8800GTX will beat the pants off of anything ATI has on the market. Unless you're running SLI, even the Vista driver is fairly functional. I'm PO'd at Nvidia, but swapping to ATI right now is like buying a Mustang because your Lamborghini doesn't run well on a dirt track. If you're going to swap, at least wait for a comparable part. |

My last two purchases was a Radeon 9700 Pro and an X800XT PE, but even I agree. I am switching back to Nvidia unless something good happens with the AMD merger. |
