This Italian site hwupgrade.it has info on the upcoming Audigy 4 pro and the rest of Creative products to be released this november:
New features are better performance, better dacs (113db), but no PCI-EX.

I bet it uses the same audio chip as the Sound Blaster live :P

Well if they did make a PCI Express version, we can surely be confident that they will find some way to hog that bus all up too. Receiving good drivers is just plain wishful thinking.

I think that they've skipped the number 3 since it means death in japanese. (same for Canon's G4 camera.. they had G2, and G4 withot G3)

i'm sure creative had this capability a long time ago, they are just stretching it for money. they've shown time after time that they dont care about their customers.
