No Fake - A PreVersion Of XP SP2 Has Been Leaked

Neowin got screens and the exclusive info, that a PreVersion of Windows XP ServicePack2 was leaked...
Read more for detailed information about SP2.

The Version of the leaked SP2 is RC2.2. But it's only possible to install through an integrated Windows XP CD.
New in this build seems to be an improved "ipv6-Support". Internet Explorer 6 is still in SP1 version. No IE6 SP2 oder IE7 ;(

Neowin believes, that we will see more of ServicePack 2 after "3-degrees" went final.

We will keep you informed about the improvements in Service Pack 2 for Windows XP.

The IPV6 protocol is also in Windows XP with SP1 so this is nothing new.

I got it also by Usenet, damn those WinBETA guys are deep into Microsoft :)

Maybe it is secretly a Microsoft Division :) ?!

By the way, I couldn't install 'Sp2' yet, gave me a error. Can't remember what error :)

Try to install it on a clean machine again sometime !

well the article says you have to install it by makeing an upgraded xp install cd. I made one after the SP1 came out but cant tell you the steps exactly but the basic routine is you copy xp cd to drive folder, download the sp. Then there are some commandline switches to intergrate the newer files with the old. After thats done then you burn that to a new cd a viola updated install of XP.

Anyway thats what your gonna have to do to install this. I cant find the link to the site I used for doing it but should be easy to find guides to how to do it as they poped up all over after SP1 came out.
