W32.Sasser.Worm is a worm that attempts to exploit the MS04-011 vulnerability. It spreads by scanning randomly-chosen IP addresses for vulnerable systems. make sure you installed the MS04-011 Patch.

you know, it might be just me but wouldnt it be the normal thing to do to post some links, ie info on the virus? link to the patch that fixes the possible exploit?

if the article doesnt contain a link, warp2search cant copy and paste hehe. but yeah the source of the info would of been nice and less copy and paste. i remember when warp2search use to write their own news posts and not copy paste with reference links

It looks like you don't need this patch if you have SP2 RC1 installed.
