Microstar International, a.k.a. MSI, is going to introduce a new retail package for Nvidia GeForce FX products. The new bundle includes 3 AAA game titles. Currently on the list are Battlefield 1942, Command & Conquer Generals and Unreal 2: The Awakening as well as a wired USB mouse. The mouse appears to actually be a Logitech model. According to MSI the mouse features an 800dpi optical sensor. It's aluminum made and brings a blue LED scroll wheel. Nboxes will be available for the whole FX series.

the FX 5900 is a joke, nvidia are a joke, they need to bundle a Radeon 9800 Pro in order to make that package a success.... on the other end, people are known for being stupid - they deserve to buy crap... MSI!! go ATI |

Nvidia's current line of cards may not live up to the standards set by ATi, but let's not forget where nvidia has been. Any company that can topple the world's leader in 3D acceleration technology (3dfx) certainly can't be run by complete morons. Look at what they have done since the 5800. They redesigned the 5900 to be a little easier to swallow, but yes they do need to change something if they want to be on top again. Competition is good for the industry, and if only one card maker was around, we'd have high prices and little innovation. MSI won't be ditching nvidia any time soon. If they want to continue making NForce motherboards, they'll either have to stick with nvidia graphics cards, or stop making them all together. I think continuing to produce them is a much more profitable solution since people will still buy them (brand loyalty). Especially since all they really have to do is slap an MSI sticker on the card and maybe a different cooling solution. Sounds like easy money to me. |

Also remember some of the people that post here always bashing Nvidia may not have gotten into computers till after 3dfx was long dead... I think Nvidias track record speaks for its self... Big freaking deal ATI finally hits 1 outta the park after what, 10 years in the business... Nvidia has been doing it for years & put 3dfx outta business.. Makes the best Athlon XP mother board that i'ed bet a lot of the Nvidia bashers use or want.. 1 thing you said Dead_Hood that I dissagree with is.. "Competition is good for the industry, and if only one card maker was around, we'd have high prices and little innovation." The high prices are already there & have been for years.. The innovation seems to be in tiny baby steps & is rarely a "WOW" product.. Normally just tad better than the last card which is sad but I suppose is the way they keep milking the buyers. Bashing ATI or Nvidia has become such a fricken cleche...I wish every1 would grow a brian & stop buying by brand name & start buying by what suits there needs & wants. I have said it before & will now again... I don't care who makes the best card as long as it does what I want it to do.. I have bought Nvidia mostly in the past. Had 1 horrible experiance with the Radeon 8500, wnet back to Nvidia & was extremely sckepticle about getting a 9700 but I did & its the only ATI card I have ever been happy with.. & I use it on my NF2 mobo... Depending on the price of this MSI Nbox.. It sounds like a killer package.. Back in the day you used to get AAA games in the package, but these days your lucky to get a demo disk.. |

Are you stupid enough to think you would be forced to use it?! Idiot. |

Thing is, that card beats the 9800 Pro in some tests, acknowledged by pros. Even those that know about the optimisations will admit that. |

Actually it beats it in more than just some tests.. lol.. More like most... The 9700+ cards are great & its nice to see Nvidia putting out a competing card.. Oh well.. Some people are just ignorant & constantly want to ***** about something.. Notice he didn't have 1 good point to make in his waste of space post? Let me quote.. "the FX 5900 is a joke, nvidia are a joke" How informed, well thought out & clearly a great argument... Grow up kid.. Nvidia is a staple in the industry & isn't going away any time soon.. They have been king for years so they must have done something right... Grow a brain & come back when you have something intelligent to add to the site.. I could see Captain Kirk being into your house & saying " No intelligent life here! Beam me up Scotty!!!" |

Yeah I know what you mean. To be fair, a 5900 should never be compared to a 9700. I myself owned 3dfx products up to the Voodoo 3000, then got GF1,GF2, GF3, and after much waiting, finally picked up a 9700 because I got it brand new ATI brand for $259 unopened retail box. I couldn't ignore all the signs and the deal for the performance this little thing puts out, plus at the time the whole optimisation thing was going on, so I jumped ship. I still pride myself as an Nvidiot though. |
