MSI Offers GeForce FX 5600 With 256MB DDR

MicroStar International has silently added the FX5600-TD256 GeForce FX 5600 graphics card to their product portfolio. The card is expected to go on retail sale on May 10th, at least in Japan. Additional features include TV-out (S-Video connector) and a DVI connector while it comes bundled with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. MSI FX5600-TD256 and FX5600-VTDR128 graphics cards are clocked at 325MHz core and 550MHz memory settings. The FX5600-TD256 will cost about $225.

Supplemental accessories include a 7 in 1 Games collection (mostly lite versions): The Sum of All Fears IL-2 Sturmovik Serious Sam 2 lite Rally Trophy Beam Breakers Zax: The Alien Hunter Oni as well as one TV-Out S-C connecting cable, a DVI to VGA adapter and MSI software. 1st question is why? & 2ndly... How funny is it that someplace on the earth this card will more than likely end up in a machine that has less system ram than the video card has???? |

Most, if not all, new systems have at least 256MB Ram. |
