Intel Corporation introduced the Intel Celeron processor at 2.40 and 2.30 GHz on March 31st. The Celeron processor brings Intel technology, quality and reliability to the desktop value PC consumer market segment. The Intel Celeron processor at 2.40 GHz delivers the right combination of features and frequency at an appropriate price point for the value PC market segment. Based on Intel's 0.13-micron process technology, the processor utilizes 478-pin packaging and features a 400 MHz system bus. In 1,000-unit quantities, the desktop Intel Celeron processor at 2.40 GHz is priced at $127 and the 2.30 GHz is priced at $117.
