Cdr Info.com reports that Microsoft posted a fix for SafeDisc protected titles. As the information says "...When running a restricted user account with fast user switching under Windows XP, some games will not start correctly. The game requests that the original disk be placed in the drive, even if it is already present. To remedy this issue, download and run this fix..." 3 January 2003.

This "fix" was posted by Microsoft back in February/January 2002. This was probably because they (Cdr Info) saw a story about this on the Inquirer who were dumb enough to post about this almost a year after it was released. It's in no way newsworthy. |

Unless this is a NEW version of a fix, this is dated early 2002 on the MS site..... |

Conrad_TDI, didn't you read what I said? This was posted early 2002. It's NOT been updated at all. All the "fix" involves is simply changing a service startup type from manual to automatic anyway, it can't be screwed up by microsoft. |
