As part of its growing antipiracy campaign, Microsoft is testing a program that offers free licensed versions of Windows XP Professional to some customers whose copies are found to be bogus.

not really, just kind of, they will ask in return for costumers to file a complaint against who sold them their pirated version, which is kind of ok of them because you do get a legit version. |

Lets face it, most people with a pirated version of Windows will have downloaded it, copied it from someone they know or brought it from a man on he street. I can imagine very few people with pirated versions got it from a real company that Microsoft could sue. |

Yeah if your in this kinda situation, you want to go after the dealer, not the buyer. Same with drugs and any other illegal stuff. Why go after the bottom consumers? Go after the person thats making/dealing to all of them and getting money from it. Makes sense to me. |
