Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Review

Posted by: [NT] on: 01/08/2007 08:55 AM [ Print | 5 comment(s) ] · 3085 views

Back by popular demand, the Microsoft® IntelliMouse is being reintroduced. The new IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 offers legendary tracking, responsiveness and comfort in a design that gamers know and love. The mouse offers basic functionality with few extra bells and whistles. This is a product which is supposed to rival Logitech and their line of G5 gaming mice. Judging from the first tests, this may not be the case.

This used to be my favorite mice, but it cannot compare with an overclocked mx510 with the "uberOptions" patched setpoint drivers.

Ah cool! I'd never heard of uberOptions before - but now I'm happily using it with my MX610 left-hander...and I'll stick it on my diNovo desktop later.
Logitech rool ;-)

This used to be a favourite for gamers for one reason, and one reason only. It was the first of the high rez led mice that actually worked on most surfaces.

as soon as they moved the same tech to the regular 'intelimouse optical (v1.1)' then people couldn't get away from the oversized explorer v3 fast enough, the way the base of the back stuck into your palm just by your wrist was terrible.

Oversized? How about its successor, intelliexplorer 4? Still the best shape through the years, if you ask me. I bought three of these and would have bought more if they didn't stop making them.
