Just saw this @ Xp-erience.org:
Freeware MENUET is an operating system written fully in 32 bit x86 assembly language. That means Menuet is powerful, yet being fast, reliable, stable and secure. Menuet hasn't had it's power fully unleashed to this date as the developers are constantly updating the system, actually just a small percentage of it's capability has been shown. It isn't clearly useful as a full-blown OS at this time, however it's real funcionality relies on a unbloated kernel(courtesy of the assembly language), a easy to program GUI and on it's simple construction!

well this is nothing new and people have been doing this for years with different versions of Linux and Unix. And as for the GUI, well kool, but I don't see how they can fit all this on just one floppy disk. 4 to 10 disks minimum. |

"4 to 10 disks minimum." - Npoe, Absolutely every part of the OS is on ONE disk, including a few applications and internet programs and of course the GUI. It's all written in pure assembly code, no wasted space from C++ ect. |
