Mandriva Linux 2009 RC2 is now available

| Mandriva Linux 2009 RC 2 (code name Sophie) should be available on public mirrors now (or in the coming hours). You will find the following isos:
2 DVDs isos: 32 and 64 bit mini-dual arch iso (32/64 bit) 2 CDs isos: 32 bit One KDE4 (various iso images available, based on languages included) One GNOME (various iso images available, based on languages included) Warning: these ISOs are still development images, they should not be used in production environments. You will find below more informations about this release, errata, on our Wiki. Main features of RC2 (compared to RC1) : Improved boot speed Support for encrypted partitions in installer and DiskDrake using LUKS Improved support for netbooks hardware Support for Intel G41 graphics chipset GNOME 2.24 KDE4 theming complete (still some small issues to fix) kernel 2.6.27rc7 installer new design is finalized and many others features and bugs fixes. |
