A man who was fired by IBM for visiting an adult chat room at work is suing the company for $5 million, claiming he is an Internet addict who deserves treatment and sympathy rather than dismissal.

So if I have no emotional problems it's Ok for me to be fired for violating fair use work internet policy. But if I have problems [stemming from events 30years+ ago] then that excuses me from all responsibility for such actions & if anything I deserve financial compensation & sympathy - despite having already received a warning for this months beforehand. A compelling argument! |

You're right, he just believes that when he gets depressed at work it isn't unreasonable to go to (knowingly prohibited) adult sites & engage in mental masturbation. |
