Use either FasterFox or Tweak Network Settings extensions.

Amazing; it's a pity this has been around for a few years at this stage & is covered in numerous Firefox Tweak Guides, Tips... for a similar number of years.

Make Firefox faster.... uninstall it and use IE instead... a three fold speed increase with having to install GPL crap :)

This so called tweak fucks up my FF actually.
I have to turn pipelining off or else lots of overseas websites will simply stop loading before finished. I have to reload a website a few times until its loaded fully.

You guys miss the point completely. This is an entirely new and exciting thing because it's posted as a VIDEO. What a great way to provide tweaks to people who are too lazy to actually read the few lines of text it would take to implement this tweak.

Even better, the video can conveniently sidestep the text which would explain to users the potential issues with using these tweaks, or things to think about when altering these setting. Fantastic!

Actually I use both.... but IE is faster and more compatible. Thats why I felt the need to comment. Perhaps you should get out more and stop buying into the FF hype.

Perhaps you should start developing websites. Then you'll know why IE = Hell ;)
20% of the development time on a CSS website is wasted because of IE's rendering bugs. Now in two flavors, IE6 and IE7 each with it's own set of annoyances.
So yea, i would get out more if it wouldn't exist...

that is because of the 10 active connections limit from XP ... you need to remove that before applying pipelining

If speed is the issue then why are you not recommending Opera?

...because IE7 isn't advertised enough by MS, right?

It is removed (has been for a long time).
I now noticed that for some reason sometimes FF stops working completely on one site. Others will still work, but the one site just stops working. Just wont load anything anymore. Only a restart of FF will help. In IE that site will work no problem then.
I had to remove the "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" too.
