I HATE flash!! Too many advertisements use it. I can't beleive they don't even give you an option to turn it off. I have to do it manually with NTFS file permissions. |

Why not just uninstall the ActiveX plug-in? I'm bias anyway - I make my living out of producing Flash apps (not banners) - the new functionality is great! I hope they don't stop there either! Bring it on... |

If you un-install the plugin it just asks you to install it again anytime you visit a page that uses it. I had to remove one of the ASX files and make the other read-only to get it to stop asking me. |

True, but what about adjusting the IE security level to block Macromedia? |

That is still a hack solution. I imagine it wourk work the same as blocking it with NTFS permissions. Although wiht my way I can turn it back on again using a simple batch script to reset the permissions. I would still like to see a solution from Macromedia that allows me to enable/disable it on the fly. |
