Good morning? Yes! Because Capcom pushed two demos of Lost Planet through the internet. You need some food for your brandnew graphics board? Then just try the Lost Planet DirectX10 Demo (you need Windows Vista). All others can try the Lost Planet DirectX9 Demo. The demo contains two playable levels with awesome visual effects.

In Vista it freezes from time to time, and there is a huge mouse lag.

I didn´t see any difference (visually) between DX9 and DX10, maybe when i get some screenshots and compare side by side

...and the team that brought you fabled PC ports like Devil May Cry and RE4 strikes again.
I'm on an 8800GTX and a Core2 6700. I'm running the DX10 Vista version.
The game runs fine (and works well with the 360 pad, too) but WTF are the resolution choices? Did they just make up a resolution to try out? Almost all of them are non-standard resolutions that don't scale properly.
Until they can promise me some normal 16:10 or even 4:3 resolutions, I won't mess with this.

It actually runs pretty well for me, Athlon 64 3200+ Nvidia 6800GT.

That said it feels so much like a console game. Everything from the gameplay to the controls just screams it. I'm sure that this could be a fun game played from couch but not on the PC.

Same with RE. Just felt wrong on the PC.

It's a bleeding console port. They always screw that stuff up.... :(
