In the last ten years the mouse Technology did go a long way. First the bowl then the optical eye and finally the laser.
There are two leading companies in the mouse market. Microsoft,Logitech,Razer. Today I will compare the two hottest within the market.

Their site sucks, the pages are too short and there is no "Next Page" button, you have to manually click the number. :/ |

I'm looking for a gaming mouse and am a little curious what people think is a good one to get. I have an Intellimouse explorer, but I swear that the MS mouse software is getting pickier and pickier about what programs work with it. At the same time, I used to *HATE* the logitech mouse software and am not 100% sure I like their button placement either. Anyone have any suggestions other than the Razor mouse? |

That's my problem right now. I have the first optical MouseMan from Logitech and I think it's time to get something newer. But I have a hard time finding a proper replacement. Everywhere I read about disadvantages each mouse has. The MX1000 has a non-changeable rechargeable battery, so I have to buy a new mouse in about 2-3 years. I was also told that it has bad ergonomics (yes, exactly). The Razer Diamondback is said to have side buttons that are hard to reach and press. A friend also confiremd strange noise the buttons produce while pressing on some areas. The current IntelliMouse Explorer also has its issues. That really annoys me. My dream mouse still has to be invented, I guess. |

That's why the MX700 is truly the best mouse... I don't use the software, I just use the drivers. Why on earth do you need the software? All I need is the L, R, M, and two side buttons for Foward/Back in the browser. I don't need the program button on the very top... and I don't need to reprogram my left button to be an automatic JUMP+ULTRA QUAKE TRICK button. |
