Since I wrote the Kyro 3 story. I've received quite some input on the matter.

It now seems Nvidia is the owner of tile-based rendering, and that would mean that we might one day see a GeForce model with a tremendous performance boost, if Nvidia manages to integrate the technology into their GPU's.

#53342 Posted on: 05/02/2004 10:37 PM I'd imagine that it would be too difficult for them to integrate it into their desktop line of GPU's but there's a slim chance that they would use it with mobile products which would benefit from it much more (keep power/heat down and performence up).

It would be stupid not to use it. Nvidia owning TBR is huge.. that would be like one company owning FSAA or antialiasing...
