Are these better than the latest official Creative drivers for an Audigy 2 ZS? |

The kx drivers are mainly aimed for musicians who want to have low ASIO latency down to 2ms. They have better sound quality than cl's drivers and are opensource, so there are a lot of third party plugins to enhance your sound. They also support systems up to 7.1 (with stereo upmixing) and Direct Sound. But unfortunately they do not support EAX due to cl's licensing politics. |

Thanks for the info, I'm not a musician, the reason I got my Audigy 2 ZS was for the quality of music playback and sound in games (EAX etc.). The last time I tried the kX drivers was a few years ago when I had my old SB Live! Value and I remember the volume being much quieter than Creative's drivers, even with all the volume controls cranked up full. |
