w00t, at last, now everyone can secure their system by installing ie7, turn on the phishing filter and crank up the security settings... then get back to using firefox or opera as a sensible, properly css2 and more compliant browser |

While a huge step-up from 6...I just don't know if I like it. I really don't like the placement of the icons/address bar/etc. and there's no way to change 'em. For example, I want the menu bar at the top and the address bar in the middle, but there's no way to make that happen. I'd like the Home/Refresh/Stop icons all together but I can't do that either. After using Firefox, I've become accustomed to making it look and work like I want. ...and why in the WORLD is cleartype on by default and so hard to disable? It's easy to disable it once you know how, but finding that option took way too long. I bet joe average never finds it. |

I have a CRT at work and an LCD at home and I think it makes everything look a little fuzzy on both. I think it's personal preference, but putting it on by default is a huge mistake. There's a lot right with IE7, but I miss the custimization of Firefox. I might eventually get used to the UI, but right now I don't. |

10 seconds to download, 20 minutes to install, how the hell can any application require that much time to install! |

You can disable ClearType rendering in Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Multimedia. Deselect "Always use Clear Type for HTML" Do compare Clear Type on and off esp if PC has a CRT monitor which still at the moment beats LCD quality wise. Best feature: ability to print webpages without cutting off text (!!) or through convoluted gyrations (finally). |

You could stop ripping off the company that worked hard to create it, and it will magically work! |
