Microsoft has made available to beta testers and MSDN subscribers a stand alone Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1. According to some Flexbeta members who have fiddled with the browser, IE7 Beta is riddled; many websites will not load probably while other members are reporting not being able to install the browser.
One thing is for sure, this version of IE7 is only intended for 32 Bit version of Windows XP; I personally tried to install it on my Windows 64 Bit box but to no avail.

this is a good comment: IE 7.0 beta1 is in connect.microsoft.com. I'm downloading it now. Edit:. I installed this. Too many problems so far even for a beta 1. Flexbeta.net does not render completely. Microsoft Update site does not render correctly. Maybe beta 2 will be better. Edit:. I uninstalled it because it's really unusable. I'll just wait for beta 2 more to say? hope not |

Had no problems with rendering, including the MS Update site. In fact, rendering is substantially (for IE) faster than 6. But there are other problems, of course: Favicon support is broken; can't move the address bar or tabs row; now and then there's a "not responding" lockup of up to a minute (amazingly no crashes yet though). |

I downloaded from MSDN the 64 x version of Vista, and IE there works ok with it. Vista is pretty good for a beta, nice graphics and interface, I have not have time to play much with it, however; so far so good. |

Read a bit about this one and it seems like it's closer to an alpha than a beta. I figure I can hold off on this as Firefox is working well enough for the moment. IE's interface has always worked better for me, but I'm not going to bother with this until it's 90% complete or better. |

Cool...I hope so. I'm sick of Firefox's blurry scrolling and fonts that never seem to size quite right. |

MS is running out of ideas so they copy them from Firefox? |
