Installing Windows Vista For N00bs

Welcome, my young Padawan. Learn to install Windows Vista, we shall. Make you a master, we will. Cheerleader too, will you get. Soon, you will see.

You will be very happy to know that Microsoft really made Windows Vista easy to install. It only takes eight steps to get the installation process started, and thereafter, Windows Vista will not require any further input from you until it boots up for the first time.

Now it may sound stupid, but if you already have another operating system installed in your PC, make sure you set the BIOS to boot up from the DVD drive before inserting the DVD. Otherwise, your PC will just boot up using that operating system. If you have a clean system, all you need to do is insert the DVD.

Once the DVD boots up and runs the installation routine, this screen pops-up. This is where you need to set your preferred language, the time and currency format, as well as the keyboard or input method.

Not only is that a retarded guide...but it is pointless. All they did was take screen shots of every screen the installation process gives you and write some text.

...plus the installation is so fast (I installed a torrented copy of the RTM build in 25 minutes), there is no need for a guide.

Hah, yes, it must be the most redundant "guide" ever made since installing Vista is easier than any earlier MS OS so far.. ;)
