Good interview. Nice to get perspective on certain areas. I've always found Sony's 1080p thing a little funny to be pushing right now. |

Again, if these console manufacturers would enable support for mouse/keyboard on all games i would lose pc gaming forever..........i mean then i would be able to play doom3 online on my 57" hi def tv with wireless keyboard/mouse.....I think it is ridiculous that they dont do this and in my opinion no excuse/reason not too. This is the only reason they will never be the ultimate gaming machine!! |

yeah indeed ... I do not understand why they do not offer this as an option ? I means they could sell hardware .... SELL !!!!! and it couldn't be hard to get this ... even the SNES had a mouse even thought it was only for one single app afaik |

Where in that interview does anyone say that the consoles wont support those? Come on... think for a moment... those consoles will have (3?) USB 2.0 ports, also there were serveral other interviews in the past with other persons that stated it will be most likely that both keyboard an mouse will find their way to the consoles right at the launch and that game developers will use those as an control option. An MS Developer said that the 360 will support USB mouse and keyboard, but it will depend on the game developers to use it. I REALLY dont understand how people still think mouse and keyboard is STILL a no-no on consoles, especially on the next gen........... Even Blizzard has shown interest on doing WoW for the 360. I doubt they would without keyboard support. Just look at Everquest for PS2 and the keyboard/mouse support there. It CAN be done. And of you look how many people want mouse/keyboard controls on consoles, I doubt the developers will be stupid enough to ignore that. I think I read somewhere that some are already planning a similar control that wont use keyboard, but a handheld with many buttons like those for the PC (cant remember the name right now) but still use a normal mouse for the other hand, so that people who dislike a big keyboard in front of their console wont have anything to ***** about and still have the precise control of a mouse/keyboard combo. |
