After a while, those nifty Windows XP menu animations tend to grow old. They also use resources that can be put to use elsewhere. With this in mind, there is a simple way to hide all of these animations, and its as simple as finding a certain Windows XP menu. Follows these instructions to hide these animations:.. This is OLD news, but great tweak :)
I found the BEST performance tweak was when i went from 128 megs of ram to 256, theres so many registry tweaks in XP :)

Who needs tweaking software with XP ?, none of us  ;) Manually is the best way.

this isnt tweaking software...its a manual tweak, an old one at that....but i suppose some might not have seen it
