How To Run Doom 3 on Windows Server 2003 and 98/ME

If you just snagged your copy of Doom 3 and find you can't install it because you are not running Windows XP or Windows 2000, there is a way to overpass this limitation. All you will need to play Doom 3 on your non-Windows 2000/XP PC is your purchased Doom 3 CD, InstallShield Developer or Orca. Though this tweak has been confirmed for Windows Server 2003, it should work for Windows 98 and Me.

Well u could also just copy the data folder from the CDROMs
cd:setupdata

copy the data folder from all 3 CDs into your game directory, now rename the data folder to doom3.... und hopla you got a working doom3 game, you dont even have to enter a cd-key until you wonna play online.

Perhaps Doom 2 is more appropiate for Windows 98 :D
