Just spotted this bit of Info posted over at Beyond3D's Forum by Apple740.

Now Ati is "in bed" with Crytek we (X800 users) finally can see HDR in the Cryengine demo, why not in Farcry itself?

#58571 Posted on: 12/05/2004 01:48 AM This could very well be HDR, but I wish people would stop confusing blooming with it. HDR helps a lot more than making blooms wash out less color.
