Website Spong posted that we may have to face an unpleasant change in the way we know gaming. Right now we are all PC gamers. If it comes to what they outline there will soon be Nvidia and ATI gamers. Spong claims to have learned from insiders that Valve Software is currently investigating to make Half-Life 2 exclusive to Nvidia hardware. Half-Life was originally published in 1998 and brought innovations to the genre still referred to today.
Spong also reports that both chipmakers have been in negotiations with game developers for such exclusivity deals for quite some time. More details are said to be revealed at this years E3. BTW this story was posted on April 2nd, 2003.

Tens maybe over hundred titles support shaders (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 2.0) ... if You can't find them then i feel sorry for ya (use Google, visit Graphics vendors sites) btw. are u sure u really know what are shaders (what can be now done thru shaders was possible (mostly) before too but much harder way) ... |

Ok, I don't know about Half-Life 2, but I know Nvidia has a deal with EA that all new EA games will have extra features on Nvidia based cards that will not run on other platforms. Also, EA will only support Nvidia mobile graphics and not any other mobile graphics whatsoever, so if your game doesn't work on your laptop and it's from EA, then they won't help you. And Nvidia have more partners coming soon to do the same thing... remember the way it's meant to be played will soon be the way the non Nvidia games got screwed |
