Microsoft has updated the Windows Genuine Validation tool to circumvent the hack exposed last week that allowed the system to be bypassed with a snippet of java script code. The Validation is now a two-step process that first generates a code and then has you copy and paste that code to complete the process.

So they have patched a hole in the LEAST useful hack/workaround for WGA? Goodie for them! Was anyone actually USING this workaround when the others are so simple/good? |

I just wonder. I have been told that VLK that are not legit given out by M$ are blocked aswell. Now I know that there are things that can view serial of a machine, so why havent ppl used these before and used public computers that are known to have valid VLK's? I work at a Uni that I wont mention, but they all use WinXP so its safe to say that there would be 1 valid VLK |
